ARRIVAL PROCEDURES

FOR YOUR REPAIR APPOINTMENT

READ ALL BELOW

• Drop off is acceptable anytime between 8:05am - 10:00am for your scheduled booking. Park anywhere IN FRONT of our building. (Delayed drop offs may result in repairs not being completed in the allotted time frame)

• Ensure you have EMPTIED out any contents/valuables and removed ALL loose items from your vehicle. Please REMOVE any garbage or food/beverages and loose items from your truck box or trunk.

• Do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.

• Make sure there is an adequate amount of fuel in your vehicle should we need to test drive or possibly send your vehicle for sublet services.

• Please let us know if you will require a SHUTTLE RIDE after drop off.

• If you are dropping your vehicle off or picking your vehicle up after business hours, Fabians Autobody is not held responsible for any damages or theft that may occur if left outside over night.

• IMPORTANT: Your vehicle MUST be fully registered while in our care. We will NOT accept or repair unregistered vehicles in our shop.

RENTAL VEHICLES

VERY IMPORTANT - READ ALL

• Once you have brought your vehicle to Fabian’s to be repaired: If you have a rental vehicle booked for your appointment, Fabian’s will give you a ride to the rental facility. (Shuttle rides to rental facility available between 8:05am-10:00am) If you need to CANCEL your rental vehicle please let us know as soon as possible.

• You MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENCE in order to rent a vehicle.

• You MUST HAVE A VALID CREDIT CARD with available funds in order to rent a vehicle. Visa Debit is NOT accepted.

• IMPORTANT: Your drivers License ID must match the name on the credit card being used for the rental vehicle.

• When your vehicle repairs are completed at Fabian’s, please RETURN your rental vehicle back to Hertz FIRST (3911 Burron Ave). Hertz will give you a ride back to Fabian’s to pick up your vehicle.

• Make sure you have replaced the fuel used in the rental vehicle to avoid costly fees.

VEHICLE POLICIES

Fabian’s will do a full inspection of your vehicle when it is dropped off. We also document existing imperfections & deficiencies on your vehicle that are NOT associated with the current work being completed.

• Fabian’s Auto Body is not responsible for any existing deficiencies, please be mindful of any imperfections your vehicle might have before releasing into our care.

• Stone chips on car windshields can spread due to temperature changes, vibrations, and stress on the glass. Small chips can quickly turn into larger cracks if not addressed. Should any chips in your windshield spread while in our care, Fabians Auto Body is NOT responsible for the further cracking that can occur.

• Images of the interior and exterior will be stored in our files for future reference.

• Please know, for the safety and security of our customers & staff, we have cameras throughout our shop inside & out.

REMINDER

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST 2025

There is a $25 per day/plus taxes STORAGE FEE on vehicles that are NOT picked up within 24 hours on completion of your repairs. Unfortunately space is limited and we appreciate your prompt pick up after repairs are completed.

DEDUCTIBLES

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST 2025

ALL SGI DEDUCTIBLES OF $700 THAT HOLD 3RD PARTY PACKAGE POLICIES MUST BE PAID IN FULL TO FABIAN’S AUTO BODY after your repairs are completed upon pickup. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We accept all major credit cards, debit or e-transfer payments to: fabiansautobody@shaw.ca Chq’s payable to Fabian’s Auto Body 1995 LTD.

It will be the responsibility of the insured to report their claim to their package policy providers (ie: Sandbox SMI, CAA, Cooperators, Aviva, etc) and collect reimbursement from their provider.

We appreciate your cooperation regarding this matter.

PPF INFORMATION

**** All vehicle claims requiring PPF to be installed after your vehicle has been repaired/painted will require an appointment to return to us. PPF installation may take 1-2 business days to be completed ****

What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)? 

A paint protection film (PPF) is a transparent, protective layer installed on a vehicle's exterior to preserve the quality and condition of the car's paint by reducing the risk of rock chips etc. If you previously had PPF installed on your vehicle & require it again after your vehicle has been repaired/painted… there is a minimum 2 WEEK wait after the vehicle has been painted to allow the paint to cure.

PPF can cause paint to peel during removal, particularly on plastic parts such as front bumper covers. However, bubbling & air traps may occur if you do not allow the paint job to cure properly before applying paint protection. If installed too soon on a new paint job it may result in peeling paint upon removal.

If PPF is installed before the allotted time frame, Fabians Auto Body is NOT held responsible for damages that may occur if your PPF is removed.

Due to the high operating costs & insurance, we do NOT provide free courtesy vehicles while your repairs are being completed.

If you do not have rental coverage and need a vehicle while your car is being repaired… for competitive rates we highly recommend Hertz Car Rental. We can arrange this rental for you so you can be guaranteed an amazing rate!
