ARRIVAL PROCEDURES

• Ensure you have EMPTIED out any contents/valuables and removed ALL loose items from your vehicle. REMOVE any garbage or food/beverages and loose items from your truck box or trunk.

• Drop off is acceptable anytime between 8:00am-10:00am for your scheduled booking. Park anywhere IN FRONT of our building. (Delayed drop offs may result in repairs not being completed in the allotted time frame)

• We may be able to offer you a shuttle ride home or to work after drop off, however staff is limited. (within city limits only)

• If you are scheduled for a rental vehicle, we will give you a ride to the rental company. (Valid drivers license & credit card required).

• If you are dropping your vehicle off or picking your vehicle up after business hours, Fabians Autobody is not held responsible for any damages or theft that may occur if left outside over night. Do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.

• IMPORTANT: Your vehicle MUST be fully registered while in our care. We will NOT accept or repair unregistered vehicles in our shop.

• Please read below important information about Paint Protection Film (PPF).

VEHICLE POLICIES

• Fabian’s will do a full inspection of your vehicle when it is dropped off.

• We document existing imperfections & deficiencies to your vehicle that are NOT associated with the current work being completed.

• Images of the interior and exterior will be stored in our files for future reference including pictures of imperfections not related to the current work being completed.

• Fabian’s Auto Body is not responsible to any existing deficiencies, please be mindful of any imperfections your vehicle might have before releasing into our care.

• Please know, for the safety and security of our customers & staff, we have cameras throughout our shop inside & out.

Due to the high operating costs & insurance, we do NOT provide free courtesy vehicles while your repairs are being completed.

If you do not have rental coverage and need a vehicle while your car is being repaired… for competitive rates we highly recommend Hertz Car Rental. We can arrange this rental for you so you can be guaranteed an amazing rate!

Car Rentals may not be available unless they are booked in advance. Please let us know how we may assist you!

REMINDER

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST 2025

Once your vehicle repairs are completed, there is a $25 per day/plus taxes STORAGE FEE on vehicles that are NOT picked up within 24 hours on completion of your repairs. Unfortunately space is limited and we appreciate your prompt pick up after repairs are completed.

RENTAL VEHICLES

The cost of a rental vehicle is only covered if:

• You're not at fault for the collision and you require a replacement vehicle, providing the at-fault driver's insurance coverage is in order;

• You have an SGI CANADA Auto Pak and your vehicle was stolen or the collision was with an animal or bird. You are automatically provided with coverage of $50 a day to a $750 (25 day) maximum; or

• You have an SGI CANADA Auto Pak and have selected the optional coverage for "loss of use of vehicle" due to other causes, such as damage from collision, weather, etc.

DEDUCTIBLES

ALL SGI DEDUCTIBLES OF $700 THAT HOLD 3RD PARTY PACKAGE POLICIES MUST BE PAID IN FULL TO FABIANS AUTO BODY after your repairs are completed upon pickup. NO ACCEPTIONS. We accept all major credit cards, chq, debit or e-transfer payments to: fabiansautobody@shaw.ca

It will be the responsibility of the insured to report their claim to their package policy providers (ie: Sandbox SMI, CAA, Cooperators, Aviva, etc) and collect reimbursement from their provider.

PPF INFORMATION

What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)? 

A paint protection film (PPF) is a transparent, protective layer installed on a vehicle's exterior to preserve the quality and condition of the car's paint by reducing the risk of rock chips etc. If you previously had PPF installed on your vehicle & require it again after your vehicle has been repaired/painted… there is a minimum 2 WEEK wait after the vehicle has been painted to allow the paint to cure.

PPF can cause paint to peel during removal, particularly on plastic parts such as front bumper covers. However, bubbling & air traps may occur if you do not allow the paint job to cure properly before applying paint protection. The strong adhesive of the protection film adheres exceptionally well to vehicle panels. If installed too soon on a new paint job it may result in peeling paint upon removal.

If PPF is installed before the allotted time frame, Fabians Auto Body is NOT held responsible for damages that may occur if your PPF is removed.
